The Twenties collection of taps for washbasins, sanitaryware, bathtubs and showers offer a new version of Devon&Devon classic-contemporary style inspired by the exquisite design of the 1920s.
Designed in collaboration with Gensler, the new line makes explicit reference to the simple forms, rich materials and attention to detail of American Art Deco, which had also been the design studio’s inspiration for the Holiday and Dove bathtubs.
A sophisticated, innovative yet familiar style distinguishes all the pieces in the Twenties line, each of which can feature custom materials and finishes and be coordinated with all the products in the Devon&Devon collections.
“The design inspiration for the Twenties was a study of form and personalisation. We set out to create a form language that was intended to be timeless. Something that surfed the line between being referential to the Art Deco time period, but also something that had a rather contemporary bent” explains Daniel Stromborg, Product Development Design Director.
Iconic and modular: All of the elements of the Twenties collection are available with six different finishes: chrome, matt black, polished nickel, 14kt gold, 24kt gold and antique brass.
In addition to choosing the finish of the brass bases, the covers of the handles and the tap can be customised with exquisite panels of Bianco Carrara or Calacatta Oro marble.
Exclusive and versatile, the twenties collection is a solution for installation on the edge of the bathtub, complete with spout, diverter and spray handset; a wall set that emphasises the sculptural lines of the three elements, ideal for retro-style bathrooms; minimal washbasin set that reinterprets the classic three-hole composition in a contemporary key and a shower set with a two- or three-way thermostatic mixer tap and flexible spray handset.
