A NEW GLASS SURFACE
Fisher & Paykel’s matte glass surface is currently available in black on a selection of freestanding refrigerators and dishwashers. It’s a surface with a recessive effect – that is, its ability to absorb light diminishes the overall visual impact, so other materials, textures and design choices take centre stage.
The new glass surface shows a new consideration for kitchen materiality, especially alternatives to high gloss and highly reflective materials. While stainless steel can be quite forward in a space, etched glass has the curious ability to be both very recessive and highly tactile – depending on your proximity to it.
STREAMLINED HANDLE OPTIONS
