Designed by Marco Piva, the new Tao freestanding washbasin by Kreoo appears as a cylindrical block of marble that is crossed vertically, in the middle, by a thin metallic brass band.
Another perpendicular strip, in the same finish, crosses the first one and marks the upper part of the basin, identifying its depth. This decorative ‘mesh’ guarantees the possibility of working with blocks of marble of smaller dimensions, even different ones, and considerably reduces the production discard.
Tao is also available in a countertop version and is offered in ten different types of marble.
Marco Piva, graduated at the Polytechnic of Milan and operates in Italy and abroad on architecture, interior and industrial design projects, earning numerous prizes and awards. The effort in material research and technology, the value of differentiation and innovation, leads to an intense design production that become one of the most representatives of the Italian panorama.
Marco Piva, a traveller and a designer, is an innovator who is dedicated to create unique design solutions pervaded by stylistic freedom, functionality and emotion.
With a name inspired by classical Greece, an eternal culture model for beauty and harmony, Kreoo was born in 2010 from the experience of Decormarmi, a remarkable reality in the Italian marble panorama, as the ultimate development of a talent that has always distinguished the company: the ability to cooperate with designers and architects, in a synthesis of craftsmanship and design culture, oriented to select the most suitable marbles for each project, both from the point of view of the technical features and the chromatic range.
