NikolaTesla Unplugged is controlled via fixed click-release knobs with an analogue touch and feel to provide quick and intuitive access to various features. The new model focusses on aesthetics, features and powerful extraction, with a professional, robust and high-quality look.
All elements are incorporated into a bold-lined appearance, developed to intelligently separate the cooking zone from the control area. An elegant shock-resistant bulkhead protects the control area from every possible contact with cookware and from any unwanted spills.
The bold style knobs, designed with perfect grip texture, cover an extremely stable internal structure, while the magnetic release of the outer cover makes cleaning and maintenance operations easy and precise. Smooth and easy cleaning operations of the hob are also guaranteed by the central glass flap, which conceals the extraction area, activating it only when necessary.
NikolaTesla Unplugged features three automatic cooking features: Melting (no need to stir delicate ingredients so they don’t burn onto the bottom of the pot); Warming (guaranteeing proper heat levels for slow cooking); and Simmering (to prevent boiling water from overflowing).
NikolaTesla Unplugged helps the user to cook faster by bringing water to a boil 30% quicker than a traditional hob, and food can be fried in half the time, making it crispier and more flavorful. Finally, the two Bridge zones allow for the joining of two adjacent cooking zones while guaranteeing even cooking over the entire surface.
The Autocapture feature sees the NikolaTesla Unplugged automatically setting the most suitable air extraction power, by gradually adjusting and lowering it to remove odours. The powerful extraction system, positioned in the center of the hob, guarantees high fume capture levels, as it far exceeds their rising speed. Thanks to Comfort Silence technology, noise levels are extremely low even at maximum speed, thus allowing for pleasant conversation while cooking.
Elica has developed a user-friendly valve to safely drain liquids, should they accidentally spill into the extraction area. In addition, the Elica patented system allows for easy access to the Long Life ++ anti-odour filters from above; which can reach filtering thresholds of 80% – in comparison to the market average of 60% – and can be regenerated for up to 5 years, respecting the environment.
