Cleaf at Interzum 2019

Let’s take a look at the stand and some of the exciting new surfaces released by Cleaf at Interzum 2019. The stand was aptly-named “C-House” and it featured the results of the company’s research into its innovative surfaces and their applications.

Cleaf at InterzumDesigned by Bestetti Associati, the C-House highlighted 12 textures on 12 super-sized, backlit walls to emphasise the multiple applications possible together with four bi-facial displays that showcased a range of possible combinations including a collection of faced panels, laminates and ABS edges for furniture or vertical and horizontal surfaces.

Cleaf at InterzumThe main feature of the installation was the new collection of solid colour decorative papers designed by Studio MILO and composed of 90 newly-created colours in three families – Neutal, Trendy and Evergreen – to reflect three different moods.

Cleaf at InterzumOf note is the new Poro Noce – a texture that represents the textures and tones of walnut, a tree considered the symbol of fertility. Walnut has been discovered during the excavations of Pompei within the carbonised remains of trees in the Campania region. It is differentiated by the pores being spread in a diffuse way which makes it immediately recognisable to the naked eye. Poro Noce is available as a faced panel and an ABS edge.

Cleaf at InterzumAlso on show was a new finish Mosaico which was awarded the Interzum Award for Intelligent Material & Design 2019. The texture is a composition of square tiles with an irregular appearance provided by the different levels of depth and width.
